PLEASE CAN U HELP?
i have the following setup...
AMD 3200+ XP cpu
1 gig ddr ram
Asrock k7-600 motherboard
XFX Geforce 6600gt AGP 128 mb gfx card
agp x8 slot
400watt power supply
Since installing the above - 2 games Need for speed underground 2 and Toca Race Driver 2 have been reduced from a fairly good frame rate to a VERY slow 1-2 fps even in the menu stages.
I have installed new drivers for motherboard, gfx card and patched both games but NOTHING has helped. CPU and gfx card temps are fine too. Can anyone, PLEASE offer a solution. I don`t want to pull out my remaining hair. Thank You !

OP
If it helps anyone else with this kind of problem - it was the joystick rumble/vibration driver from thrustmaster that caused the frame rate drop.
Both Toca Race Driver 2 and Need For Speed Underground 2 became silky smooth once the driver for the rumble feature on my Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Power 3 gamepad were deleted.
Strange solution i know but... it worked.

I had same problem with my Gamepad on my old PC, but you beat me to the answer, cowboy
