Need for speed 3 under w2k
I downloaded nfs3 fix from here, and did all as was written in readme file. But I fail to run the game. I click on nfs3. exe, and nothing happens (clock icon appears just for second, and that is it).

I succeeded to run 3dsetup, but nothing more than that.

Abit VP6, dual PIII 700 cc0 o/c 1002 (143 fsb)
video : Elsa Gladiac Ultra with Nvidia reference driver(Latest).

Windows 2K with SP1 and the latest application compatiblity update supports this game without tweaking.

What the patch does, is just copying files manually and updates registry manually.
I have Win2k with sp1 and latest compatibility update. Nevertheless, when I try to install the game, it tells me that it can only run under win95/98.
