Download and run this qfixapp patch ( Porsche.sdb) and you will be fine.
If you want to try patching it yourself, all this file does is set the "Emulate Heap" option in QFixApp.
BTW, some people will tell you to fix it by deleting gimme.dll, but doing so will break other things like multiplayer. If you do it my way, everything will work perfectly...

Why do you need a patch, I have the game and it runs fine on XP!!
