Ok I'm going to a LAN party tomorrow and I want to password protect my file shares. Is it better to share my partition and put a password on the Guest account? Cause right now I have the Guest account enabled with no password but I made the restrictions on each share for only a specific username, but when I go to my parent's computer that is running Windows 98 (I'm running Win2k) I can see all the shares but when I souble click on one of them it says "Access Denied". Now a lot of users at the LAN use Win9x and I want them to be able to get access, as I have some Movies, MP3s, Game Updates, mods, etc. what is the best way I can share these things?

hmmm.....
The only way i have been able to share files with win2k to 98se boxes is adding each account user name.
The best way to do this would prolly be to amke an account called "Share" then set it up for max logins. Then tell your buddies at the lan to login their 98 boxes as "Share" then they will be able to see it.
P.S. isnt sharing banned at LAN parties?
esp with bandwidth in mind???

but the reason why your parents box cant see it is because the login name that they use is their login name for 98se.
