Lo folks,
This one is starting to drive me nuts. The CD player app in Windoze 2000 used to pick up the track names from Tunes.com
For the last couple of weeks it just keeps saying that the cd hasn't been found in the database. I know there is something not right cause I've had this problem once before, problem is I can't remember how I fixed it.
I've tried uninstalling the CD rom, then reinstalling it. Made sure that the toptions for indexing the media are all correct in Admin tools etc etc.
Tis driving me up the wall this problem, anyone got any ideas on how to fix it?
Davey.

Is this the only thing that's being affected by the CD-ROM? Have you cleaned the cd lens with one of those cd lens cleaner cd's?
Try the cleaning and run some other programs off the cd. If those dont work, the drive is probably going out.
Also, check the options for downloading automatically, and make sure autoplay is enabled for the drive.
Check to make sure the IDE cable is plugged in at both ends and is in good shape.
