need software to view the video input on my geforce4

This is a discussion about need software to view the video input on my geforce4 in the Windows Software category; freeware would be nice all i need is to see it in a little window allways on top would be nice it is for my security cameras. .

ge 4's don't have video in on their cards? only video out.......

IIRC, the Ti4600's do, VIVO. 4200, 4400, are only video out.

i got a Ti 4600 - it says only video out on the svideo jack?

yea some of the 4600's have the dvi plug. just connect the dv camera
i just burned some vcd's from a trip. the whole system works nicely.
 
anyway microsoft has moviemaker thats free but limited and kinda lame... i havent seen a decent "free" one. if someone has please post the link.
 
ps what about the software that comes with the vid card? is that any good or is it just a "demo"?

VirtualDub is free. If that isn't 'good enough' you can download a 30 day eval copy of Adobe Premiere.
