This is a discussion about Nero settings in the Windows Software category; I have an occasional problem when verifying files after burning a data cd. It fails. My question is this, is there recommended settings over the defaults that I should be using in Nero when burning data files?.

i personally use everything default
That may occur due to overclocking or wrong memory options in the Bios.
I am using default settings on my Nero as well. Have no problems. However I do find that some particular CDs will fail to write. Especially the CompUSA CDs cause real problems. Maybe trying a different brand of CD might help too.
Can you post the exact error message that nero gives you? Also, have you tried any other CD-Writing progs?
