hi, thinking about buying a new card. But am leary, reading about a lot of problems on XP.
So I need to be sure its gonna work well with xp. I have used 3DFX in the past. And was always happy with them. But....
So, for dollar for dollar what is the best thing out there?
I am thinking about the G-3.
I have a lot of homework to do first. So any advice is appreciated

As far as I know, al Nvidia based chipsets work fine with XP. I use a TNT 2 Ultra card and i have friends using Geforce 2 MX, Geforce 2 GTS. Those work fine.

I myself never really liked the 3DFX cards. Too blurry grafix. If you have the money I recommend buying a Geforce 3 card from either Elsa or Leadtech. y TNT 2 is a leadtech and that has never failed me. Great card all categories. But what i hear Elsa makes really great cards as well, and the best part is that you can transform a Elsa Gladiac card into a Elsa Gloria cars with only a few mods. (re routing some components) But that goes for the older models.

If you use your computer for games, go for a Geforce 3 DDR if you dont have the oney to buy that a Geforce 2 GTS is tottaly sufficent.
