New File System for Longhorn/Blackcomb?
This is a discussion about New File System for Longhorn/Blackcomb? in the Customization Tweaking category; I was inquiring over at another message board about if MS has another file system in place to replace NTFS with sometime in the future. I heard that this might be in Longhorn and Blackcomb. I figured I should hit this place up to find out if that was the case or not or if it's not a sure thing.

Or should I be signing up for the beta testing?

i think thry are making a new filesystem, i think its codenamed Yamhill not sure tho...
I've heard that rumor, too, I guess it's to be based upon a SQL.
OP
Ahh, you said the one based on MS SQL server, and now I remember hearing about that awhile back.
I think Yamhill was supposed to be Intel's move against AMD x86-64 platform, but I forget what came of it.

Not this upcoming version of exchange, which is 6.5, but later releases will be built upon this new NFS as well
