Hi,
I recently installed a new 200 gig Ultra ATA Maxtor drive as my main drive and whenever I boot it comes up saying that it's ATAPI Incompatible. I enter the bios, immediately hit escape and exit and then the PC boots as normal. Any ideas?
My hardware:
WinXP Professional SP2
P4 2.8c
1 gig of ram
200 gig Maxtor Ultra ATA
2 160 gig Seagate Barracudas
Toshiba DVD Dual side RW
Radeon 9800 Pro 128
I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

It sounds as if you need to flash the bios on your motherboard. Not all motherboards support hard drives of this size. Once flashed, make sure that your motherboard auto detects it correctly. Make sure that you're using the correct type of cable with the drive.
