New HD

This is a discussion about New HD in the Windows Hardware category; I am thinking of fitting a new HD. I know that if do a reload on my exiting HD I will have to reformat and do a backup, so I am thinking of fitting a bigger HD and installing Windows Vista, would there be any problems?.

There should not be any issue unless you have an older motherboard that only supported up to 137GB HDD's.

This shouldn't be an issue if the MB was purchased in the past 2~3 years or so as the BIOS should already support the larger HDD capacities, including the newest 1TB/1000GB capacities
