New Installation procedure for Roxio 5 Platinum
This is a discussion about New Installation procedure for Roxio 5 Platinum in the Windows Software category; It seems Roxio has changed the update procedure for EZCD Platinum for a third time!! This time they say to reboot after each installation and to run the migration file after each reboot. It also seems that the update file is smaller now.

I say Roxio should get their $hit together before they end up defaced 7 times a week.
I did a fresh install of WinXP last night due to a major hardware upgrade.
I used the old method:
Install EasyCD
Do Not Reboot
Install 5.02b Patch
Do Not Reboot
Install WinXP Migration patch
Reboot
The above method worked a treat.

Hey Blade I tried that and no go. I used to be able to get it to work before they changed the install procedures. I think that new file is screwing thjings up
During the install I chose NOT to install directcd or TakeTwo. Dont know if that matters. HELP
Ah, well I never attempted used TakeTwo under WinXP because of it's own roll-back system, so agreed, I never install that anyway.
It does however appear that the patch has changed and the installation procedure too since my last message, I'm sure one day Roxio will get it right, I still love the software once it's running
