New PC - Hardisk Drive Letter Assignments
I recently built a new system to replace an older one and used many parts from the old one. The old system's boot drive (13GB C had XP Pro on it, but I moved it to slave and set the new 60GB as master, and I installed XP Pro on it.

My problem now is that the 60GB drive is assigned drive letter F: and the old C: drive is still assigned C:. I erased all the files from C:, and want to swap the drive letter assignments between C: and F:.....but first of all, XP won't let me format C:.....the properties tab for C: says there are 150MB is use, but no files are visible. I suspect that is the old XP installation, bit I am not sure.
If I took the C: drive out of the PC, would F: then be assigned drive letter C ;( If so, would that cause a problem with the applications that have been installed to F: previously.
Other than reinstalling XO all over, is there a simple and painless solution? Thanks in advance.
