nFORCE Audio problems and TOCA race driver

This is a discussion about nFORCE Audio problems and TOCA race driver in the Windows Games category; Hi I have a problem with the sound when playing TOCA race driver on a A7N8X-X motherboard with nForce audio. There is a very high pitched noise coming through when in a race. Anybody else have this problem? Is there a fix/solution? N.

I have a problem with the sound when playing TOCA race driver on a A7N8X-X motherboard with nForce audio. There is a very high pitched noise coming through when in a race. Anybody else have this problem?
Is there a fix/solution?
N.B I used to have a SB Live! installed on this machine but I transfered it to my P4 system.

What driver version are you using? Have you tried the latest 2.45 drivers?

Yes, I have that version installed. I have read somewhere that TRD only supports creative sound blaster cards?? maybe the game is incompatible with the nforce sound chip?

You could try lowering your sound hardware acceleration. For more details try my FAQ.

You could also try this, though its probably not the best solution.
