NFS Porsche 2000 on Win2K with 384mb RAM

i have nfs porsche 2000 and can't get it to run on my system. p3-600 (100mhz) asus p3v-4x via 384mb PC100 sdram 2 IBM 20. 5gb EIDE Drives connected to Promise Fasttrak 66 RAID controller creative geforce ddr sb live player etc.

etc...
 
any ideas? i tried setting the page file of windows 2000 as defined in the results of compatibility list
 
i.e. 384mb min swapfile and 750mb max and it just keeps hammering hard disk on the title screen and then exits with low virtual memory message.

try deleting the gimmie.dll in the main dir of NFS5
that should fix it, if not, look for a patch, i think theres atleast one out

I know they got it to run on the compatibility pages but on the NFS5 tech page it says that it was never intended to run on W2k. Dunno.

Most companys said that their games won't work on Windows 2000 but most games work

Right click on "My Computer", then under Advanced/Performance Options you can find your control for your swap file (aka virtual memory).
