NHL 2001 on Windows 2000 Machine
I need help!!!!!! I upgraded to Windows 2000 and NHL 2001 won't work. I read through the NT Compatible site and found that you can make NHL 2001 work for Win2K. I have installed DirectX 8. 0 fine. When I then start the game the following message comes up: Abort Message You do not have DirectX 7.
I need help!!!!!! I upgraded to Windows 2000 and NHL 2001 won't work. I read through the NT Compatible site and found that you can make NHL 2001 work for Win2K. I have installed DirectX 8.0 fine. When I then start the game the following message comes up: Abort Message You do not have DirectX 7. Please install DirectX 7. Could not load "(null)". HELP HELP HELP !!! What can I do??????

Is that an EA game? The reason Im asking is people seem to have problems with EA games under Win2k. That seems to be due to the fact that EA refuses to support the NT/2k code.
Also, yeah, having an illegal copy could be the reason for your problems.
