After I removed my PlexWriter 12/10/32A and my Pioneer DVD-A06S 16x on the device manager and let WinXP reinstall them, no CD burning program has been able to detect anything on the IDE BUS! What should I do? I've already tried reinstalling my drives (not that the DVD-ROM drive makes any difference in this case) and WinXP is definitely causing some serious trouble. CloneCD, CDRWIN, etc.. don't find any CD/DVD drives. Someone please help me!

Make sure everything is plugged in, and that the ribbon cables are aligned properly. Check and make sure that the IDE channels are enabled and set properly in BIOS. You may want to try resetting the BIOS back to the defaults. I've seen this fix work firsthand, as sometimes a certain BIOS setting gets set incorrectly and causes some weird things to happen.

OP
Everything's been properly connected from the start. Installing ASPI drivers did the trick. Thanks!
