I played NOLF just the other day with the update and all, crack from www.gamecopyworld.com
Game played flawless and nice and fast(unlike in win2k) I could actually play the game at 1280x1024 @ 32b color and it wasn't the slug that it was in win2k.
Try reinstalling the game.

What version of winxp are you using?
What video card?
What driver revision for the video card?
What other hardware are you running?
What other apps are running when you run the game?
Did you try installing a no cd crack from gamecopy world?
