Please, please can someone help me make my son happy again? We have just replaced dungeon keeper 2. It worked fine to start with, but i installed the patch version 1.7 as there were a few screen freezes. BIG MISTAKE. Now when we load dungeon keeper everything appears to work normally. (i.e the intro is fully visible) but when we actually try to play the game all we can see is a black screen with the 'hand' and writing that is displayed. The sound works fine. I figured that it was something to do with the patch so I deleted all I could find to do with dungeon keeper, used the regedit thing and the add remove programs to remove the game. I then restarted and reinstalled dungeon keeper...but couldn't believe it when exactly the same thing happened again. Has anyone else had this problem? I have windows xp and set it to be compatible with windows 2000. My new game is from the sold out range. I'd appreciate any help/advice anyone could give!
Thanks.
Thanks.

1.Create a shortcut of the DKII.exe file to the desktop.
2.Right-click on the shortcut and select properties.
3. Under the "Shortcut" tab find "target"
4.Change "D:\Program Files\Bullfrog\Dungeon Keeper 2\DKII.exe" (quotes included) to:
"D:\Program Files\Bullfrog\Dungeon Keeper 2\DKII.exe" -32biteverything (just add -32bit everything, leave a space after the end quote).
(I'm assuming D:\Program Files\Bullfrog\Dungeon Keeper 2is the folder that you've installed the game to it's most likely:
C:\Program Files\Bullfrog\Dungeon Keeper 2\DKII.exe)
This solved the same problem for me.
Now I just have to find that patch

Ok I already had the 32everything ... I removed it and WOOHOO magic it works now !
So try removing/adding it .... I highly suggest you to patch it to 1.7 first
If you got any problem patching e-mail me

My biggest problem is that I can't find the first patch and it won't let me patch from original install to 1.7.
When I try to install the patch i get some file not found error then the Windows has encountered a problem with DKII.exe every time i run it after. So far though with the -32biteverything command line I haven't had a problem but whatever works. This is my first real experience with this game though and it's been worth all the trouble. Just got Stronghold too and that's another classic
