no release/renew button
This is a discussion about no release/renew button in the Windows Networking category; hey, just curious what it meant when i don't have a release/renew button on my winipcfg? i know that if they are grey that means i'm setup with static, but not sure what it means if they are missing. .

I take from winipcfg that you are using Windows 9x?
You can always use command line version of it:
winipcfg /release
and
winipcfg /renew
Consider upgrading Windows, if possible.
9x, 2000 (and soon XP with or without SP1) are not anymore supported by MS.
