Well, the first thing to do is bring up the volume control and make sure that Mute is not checked.

yeah i already did that. There's no conflicts either with the sound. What can it be?
Does Device Manager display any other problems with the entry for your sound card (device driver problem, etc.)?
Also, have you tried different speakers/headphones?

May sound obvious but it could be something as simple as a loose conection. have you checked your cables?

Hey thanx! The connection was loose all this time! I feel sooo stupid.
Sometimes it is the most obvious things that are missed.
Sometimes I froget that I have put my modem on standby and then wonder why I can't connect. lol
