Hello everyone!

Direct3D works, all the FMV's work (and are drawn the right way up sound effects don't.
I have SP3 (with the newest ACT obviously) on a P3 with an SB Live! Value sound card, Liveware 3.0 and DirectX 8.1. I've tried reinstalling FF7, reinstalling Liveware, installing the latest version of Liveware (which reduced the MIDI polyphony to about 3 notes ;() and reinstalling DirectX, but the sound effects simply refuse to work. The strange thing is I can hear the chocobo sound when I use the test button in FF7Config...
Has anyone had this problem before? I didn't find anything searching on this forum, and even less googling, but as popular as FF7 seems to be here someone has to have at least a suggestion. Thank's in advance

First, welcome to the forums. I really hope you get the game working correctly, it's a masterpiece in my book.
What I would recommend trying, and keep in mind that I don't have FF7 for the PC, would be lowering the DirectX sound acceleration.

I'm not aware of anyone else having this particular problem, but if no-one here has a solution, you could try asking on the forums at http://forums.qhimm.com/ (they seem to be quite a helpful bunch )
In fact (quick search later) this thread might be relevant: http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?t=1936
