Thanks,
It's nice not to be flamed!

Pity I went and bought an ATI radeon a few days ago both BeOS and QNX don't have drivers yet. I'll need to get out the old TNT.

So far it has taken 9 minutes to write the bootdisk, and is nearly finished verifing it after 5! Is it comiling a kernel or something?

<excitement> Got to go its ready, ha ha yes yes </excitment>

Could you post a pic? I couldn't find one. Also what's so good about this OS? Haven't heard of it.

Well I tried it for a while, its no were near as good as BeOS. Although the internet (with java), printer support, DVD playback(missing?), and quake3 support is far superior to Beos currently. I have this pre-view from benews (beos website!) on QNX it has some pics: http://www.benews.com/story/3463.1.html

On the install front, the root password the windows install setup didn't work as the keyboard mapping was set to US, I use a UK map! Luckily my normal account password had only chars and numbers.

On the RtP side its pants, although I might want to blame the Vesa mode drivers for my ATI radeon (nice!) the media player breaks up in big style when playing back wav's and MP3s when doing the simplest things such as copying files, scrolling webpages, and open apps. BeOS does not do this at all, ever. It too has been relegated to Vesa Mode drivers. Also their is no way to set the default sound card.

Score 2/5, for now anyway.
