I'm sure the drive would be supported under NT4, but the bundled software may not be... Also, since NT4 is close to EOL, I don't think many OEMs will provide support (indirectly) for it.

Why on earth do you want to use a DVD or any other modern hardware on NT4? Have you ever heard of Windows 2000? Try it, you'll like it.
