NT Networking with XP

I have an NT network set up with many 98 and workstation clients, and I'm trying to connect some new XP machines. Is there a way to set up the machines to show the NT login at bootup ? It defaults to the XP workstation login.

I have an NT network set up with many 98 and workstation clients, and I'm trying to connect some new XP machines. Is there a way to set up the machines to show the NT login at bootup ? It defaults to the XP workstation login. When a user logs onto the server they are fine, except that most of my users check the "remember my passoword" box so that XP is automatically logging that person on - even if another person is on the workstation. I need to see an NT login at boot up - or I need to remove the "remember password" option. Is this possible?
Thanks.

As best as I understand it, normally you'd need to go to the user control panel in XP and in "Change the way users log on and off" untick the "Use the welcome screen" option. To force this option you can run (Start -> Run) "gpedit.msc", browse to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Logon and set "Always use classic logon" to Enabled.

I was pretty sure though, that when connected to a domain, XP would only show the NT-style login box so I don't know why your XP machines are not doing that.

OP
I think the XP machines are remembering the passwords of who ever logged in to the server and checked that box. So if student A goes to a workstation and logs into the server and checks that box the workstation assumes it's the same person and automatically logs them in so no other log in log out of the server is possible. I"ll try your suggestion. Thanks
