From your message I reckon your name should be Chris of Borg.
No wonder the Borg couldn't defeat Voyager, they're still running NT4 pre SP6a.

If you have broadband, just download the service pack file. Mine is "nt_40_sp6a_128.exe" but you may find something different. If you have a modem, try and find an old cover CD. The new ones may not have it due to some dodgy M$ restrictions.

Then reboot, run the *.exe and reboot again. It should all be done. It is also suggested that you re-run the service pack after any new software or hardware installation.

Hope this helps your collective.

OP
Thanx Felix :):

Our problem is:
ServicePack 6a StandardEncryption is available in German and fits our NT Server 4.0.
But installing Internet Explorer 6 installed HighEncryption together with IE -
as we believe.
Now, SP6a StandardEncryption can't be re-run anymore,
because it refuses to run on a system with HighEncryption.

On the other hand,
SP6a HighEncryption (only available in English?) refuses to install as well,
because the languages do not fit.

Hence, we can't re-run any of these 2 SP6a.
A situation we do not like at all ...

:-(
