NT5 VS NT4 DOMAINS--- error message
This is a discussion about NT5 VS NT4 DOMAINS--- error message in the Windows Software category; The following error occurred attempting to join the domain NT5ADVSRV: The credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials. On a win2k pro client (name: nt5-client) I am trying to get it into the domain of my server (server name: nt5-server domain name: nt5advsrv.

On a win2k pro client (name: nt5-client) I am trying to get it into the domain of my server (server name: nt5-server domain name: nt5advsrv.com) I guess I'm just sorta confused between the difference between how the domain use to work, and how it has changed.
Trying to join nt5advsrv.com doesnt work, but joining nt5advsrv (which is suppose to be for pre-win2k machines works... until that error pops up.
Is this at all clear? Lemme know.
