ntfs and cd burning
I am new to the Win2k thing so please bare with me. Someone told me that you can't burn CDs if your system is formated with NTFS. Can someone please shed some light on this subject for me? Thanks. .

Yup. People come up with the weirdest things. I'm not sure what is worse: the stuff that is real, or the stuff that people make up.
Yeh give that guy a smack round the ear. I havent had any problems writing CD's on windows 2000 Professional and NTFS.

He made a pretty good argument that cdfs was not compatible with ntfs. That readable cdfs was but cds could not be written to through ntfs.
We need to start a new topic for ppl to put the wriedest but funniest computer theories in it...
Its always good to have a good laugh after a hard day of work..

I heard some story about a Mac user saying that XP makes the user pay royalties to MS when you install hardware. MS couldn't get away with that in the first place, and Product Activation already has enough people pissed off.
I've burnt a bunch of drivers and updates for a friend in Win2k under NTFS, and he can read them fine under 98.
