NVidia drivers and Monitor powerdown

This is a discussion about NVidia drivers and Monitor powerdown in the Windows Hardware category; I recently redid my installation of Win2k Pro, and when I installed my NVidia drivers, I lost the ability to choose my monitor type, and as a result, it will not power down. Is there any way other than a 3rd-party program (which I've tried and didnt work) to get this to work correctly?.

BTW this happens with any drivers (TNT2, Riva 128, ect) that I've installed other than the native 2000 ones.
