office xp on win2k pc
This is a discussion about office xp on win2k pc in the Windows Software category; i'm trying to reinstall office xp onto my pc. yesterday i had to recover win2k & i guess i lost the office settings. i inserted the office disk & ran setup but got this error: 'This patch package could not be opened.
i'm trying to reinstall office xp onto my pc. yesterday i had to recover win2k & i guess i lost the office settings. i inserted the office disk & ran setup but got this error:
'This patch package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.' So, i inserted the disk into another pc & the setup started fine. I tried uninstalling office with this disk(& a 2 other office cd's i had) but got the same error every time. how do i get this to work? i'll uninstall if needed. thanks .
