Ok I run Win2k, and I would like to do some video capture of TV shows that I like and also start putting my daughters camcorder footage on cd to send out to family members etc. Now I have read and been told that MPEG-2 is the best but hard to find compatible cards in win2k right now. I have also been told that instead of buying an expensive card $200+ I should get like a Wintv Theater or something and use mjpeg or other codecs to capture. I have looked at the wintv cards but the resolution they list as supported is always so low. I understand that my knowledge on video capture is very low and I need some help here. Please guide me to where I need to go since you know what i need now. thanks guys
