is this possible? and if so how? i've downloaded VFM sound incase i need it.

Install Star Trek.
Install VDMSound
Right-click on the configuration program for Star Trek and choose "Run with VDMSound". Setup the sound card.
Right-click the Star Trek executable and "Run with VDMSound"
