P4P800 Deluxe Lan Problem
This is a discussion about P4P800 Deluxe Lan Problem in the Windows Hardware category; Hopefully someone reads this who can help. . . I am installing windows xp pro w/ sp2 on a Asus P4P800 DLX motherboard, P4 3. 0C intel, etc etc Anyway, the installation of windows go just fine. But after I install the driver for the 3 com gigabit lom.

Anyway, the installation of windows go just fine. But after I install the driver for the 3 com gigabit lom.. it maintains that no internet connection is available, despite being connected to a working connection (tested on other computers to make sure)
I am absolutely stuck with this because I can't think of anything to fix this...
Any ideas, or even better, solutions, would be sooo appreciated!

Nevermind...
It ended up being my modem was storing mac addresses within the modem itself... thus couldn't establish a connection with the new comp...
