Hey, I need some help with my partitions...
I need to change the order of the partitions, and not only for Win2k, but really change it...
I have one 40gb disk, with 2 partitions on it, one 15gb :copyright: and one 25 (E), plus a 30gb disk, with just one partition on it (D). That's my problem... The first disk puts it second partition as E, and not D, as I want it to be. This causes a real problem for me, since I can't install the XP beta that my dad recieved correctly. When I run the XP setup from a dos boot floppy, it can't copy the files correcly, and when I started the setup from win2k, after it rebooted and continued the setup, it ****ed up my entire Win2k installation, I couldn't repair it or anything.

So please help me with this, thanks.

If the second partition on the first disk (hd0b) is extended, make it a primary partition to get it detected as D:. (Although, I can't say why an extended partition would break the install.)

You should be able to this from the 2000 installer, if not from XP.
