partition size questions
I have a 40gb hard drive that I regretfully partitioned the following way. C: boot partition – 3. 4gb D: system partition – 3. 4gb E: 3. 4 F: 10gb G: 10gb H: 8+gb It was initially a dual boot system with 98 on C: and 2000pro on D:.

C: boot partition – 3.4gb
D: system partition – 3.4gb
E: 3.4
F: 10gb
G: 10gb
H: 8+gb
It was initially a dual boot system with 98 on C: and 2000pro on D:. Since upgrading 2000pro to XPpro I see no use for 98.
So here are my problems:
1. The D: is always giving message that it is too full. I share this PC with other family members and each of our Documents and Setting files are stored on the D: drive. I cannot find any way of moving them to one of the other partitions short of dragging them. Will this work? Is there another way?
2. What is the best way to unload 98?
3. My G: partition is empty. Is there a way to move it’s 10gb to the D: drive partition?
From other threads I’ve read, it is obvious that I should be using NTFS instead of FAT32 for limiting access to files that I don’t want others to view or alter. It sounds like I would have more control over the partitions then as well.

Get a copy of Partition Magic. You should have no problem at all shifting unused portions of the various partitions to those that need it. You could shift your Documents and settings to a different drive, but if you expanded that drive, you wouldn't need to. This is Power Quest's Website: http://www.powerquest.com/
