PC & CE DVD compatability

This is a discussion about PC & CE DVD compatability in the Windows Hardware category; Are DVD-/+V or DVD-/+VR disc's recorded on a standalone (CE) DVD recorder meant to be compatible with PC DVD devices? Can you direct me to an information source? Thanks, new Samsung DVD-VR330 owner.

Yes, movies recorded on your standalone DVD recorder can be played on your PC as long as you have some DVD Playback software such as Power DVD from Cyberlink or ones supplied with DVD burner software.
