Hi Gang,
I have included the following e-mail for owners of DataRobot/PC Toolworks I'll provide additional information as it arrives. I have also provided a link to the seemingly unlinked patch for DataRobot PC.
Quote:Dear Mr. Blackburn,
Thank you for your email. I am sorry you have received this error
message. It has been fixed in later versions of PC ToolWorks. We are not
trying to extort money from you, it was simply an error that we were
unaware of when we compiled the programs. I have attached the patch to
repair the error message
"The expiration data has been passed in this Product,
Please upgrade it to PC Tools DataRobot Enterprise."
Apparently the version of Data Robot that we received from the
manufacturer was a trial version and could only recover a certain amount
information. This patch allows the user to recover an unlimited amount
of information. We are terribly sorry that you have encountered this
problem.

Thank You,

My Response:
Quote:Hi Troy,
That is simply wonderful and from my perspectvie almost unbelievable news.
My main experience in the past was PowerQuest's Lost and Found which only
will do one restore process on one machine for one failed drive and that's a
whopping 70 dollars! I have however been disapointed by the how difficult
it is to aquire a patches for these products. Where would one do that?
I've already tried:
http://www.pctoolworks.com/, http://www.cdmicro.com/, www.Hauri.net,
http://www.pctools.com/, http://upgrade.pctoolworks.com/data. Trust me when
I say that the legitimacy of the CD fabbing department's accident can't
help, but be questioned when none of these websites readily link to updates
for any of the titles this suite. These two URLs should absolutely contain
a copy of the patch:
What comes up when you click on the trial message:
http://www.pctools.com/ -This URL
The URL displayed on the dialog of the trial message:
http://upgrade.pctoolworks.com/data
Thanks again for the help Troy,
Christian Blackburn

Hi Schaaij,
I guess you missed it. The link is right there at the top of my e-mail. I assume it works.

Hi Schaaij,
You're welcome for the patch I'm sure things will work quite a bit better now. I sure hate how "Japanese" the design is. You can totally tell that it wasn't written by native speakers. They should have payed someone else to do the translations. Cheers,
