PCI Audio multimedia device.... problem.

This is a discussion about PCI Audio multimedia device.... problem. in the Legacy OS category; Hi there, I have a problem on my old computer. . . it's an old Pentium 2 with Windows ME installed, but recently it's got no sound at all. I downloaded the Everest program to see my sound card on the computer, and when I wanted to see it.

I have a problem on my old computer... it's an old Pentium 2 with Windows ME installed, but recently it's got no sound at all. I downloaded the Everest program to see my sound card on the computer, and when I wanted to see it...... Well, there was no such thing =/ Yet I used to have sound on the computer.
 
Anyway, can you help me?

Do you get any sound at all - even crackling when you start the machine?
 
If you haven't changed any settings on the system it appears if your card or speakers are shot. Do you have extra equipment that you can use to switch and test the card and speakers; however before you do that try reseating the card.
