Permissions Trouble

I just moved one of my desktops over to log into my active directory. My account has Domain Administrator rights, yet when I log onto my desktop running Windows XP. . . I am getting access denied on some of the administrator functions on the local machine.

I just moved one of my desktops over to log into my active directory. My account has Domain Administrator rights, yet when I log onto my desktop running Windows XP... I am getting access denied on some of the administrator functions on the local machine. How do I get my Admins rights back on my desktop?

add your active directory user account to the group of local administrators on your workstation

That's what I was thinking, too, but members of the Domain Admins group have by default Administrator rights on whichever machine the user(s) are signed into.
