Hi
I don't know if anyone else lives in the northeast but we had a lot of wind over the weekend.
Needless to say the power went out.
After it came back on I went to turn my computer on and it goes through the bios
screens and gets to starting windows.
After the satus bar gets to the end the computer restarts.
Also not sure if it would help, but when I turned the computer on the first time I had to reset all the settings in the bios.
I also tried to repair the win2K installation and reinstall it.
Repairing it did nothing, and after one reinstall it comes up with cannot locate ntoskrnl.
Thanks for your help

ooh that happened to me when my dad tried to install a non-2000 compatible application (why did I ever give him admin access!!!) and I ended up reformating. There was probably another way around the problem but I have only recently moved to win2k having been brought up on DOS bases OS's....
Does anyone know of another way round this kind of problem?? i.e. a stop error on bootup
