Please HELP! EXE Troubles

This is a discussion about Please HELP! EXE Troubles in the Windows Software category; This absolutely MAKES NO DAMN SENSE! If I have an. EXE file on the my Desktop D:\Documents. . . . . \Administrator\Desktop , when I double click it won't LOAD. It just clicks and then nothing, it won't work! If I move the file to a different place everything is fine.

It just clicks and then nothing, it won't work! If I move the file to a different place everything is fine. What gives! Why does Win2k have to be so damn annoying! I am not joking here either this just one bogus error.

I know this problem. It happened to me also. More on this is that, if you have a gif or jpg file on your desktop, it will take a minute to open, if it is somewhere else it will open immedialtely.
 
This is very strange. I had the window for more than a year so I thought it was very old and therefore something might be corrupt. Couldn't find anything. Sorry.

Same here, the gifs and jpegs take forever to open as well, plus the exe's won't open either. This has to be some major error that needs to be resolved.
