hi all!
That's my first post.
I'm using winxp pro and having some problem here.
Yesterday i found a process running named tcposmod.exe and scaned it with mcafee . The software reports a virus named Backdoor-APQ. and have deleted it.
When i try to access any anti-virus vendor web pages, and any ping for the addresses mcafee.com, symantec.com , and so, is directed to 127.0.0.1. I already checked LMHOSTS and both HOSTS files , and there aren't there anything pointing to the localhost.
I See that can be the backdoor-apq virus that change my sistem settings , but can't find any mention of it on the web.
PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanx All !

Try and see if it has changed your DNS server to something different. As a temporary workaround, try a proxy server to access the antivirus websites.
