Please help quick! How to get back my dualboot?

Im dualbooting winME\winXP. winME was acting strange and I decided to reinstall it. I saved all the important system files in the C: dir, thinking I could put them back to enable the dualboot as it was before, but it`s not working.

Im dualbooting winME\winXP. winME was acting strange and I decided to reinstall it. I saved all the important system files in the C: dir, thinking I could put them back to enable the dualboot as it was before, but it`s not working. Neither did it work if I booted from a diskette with ntldr and the other NT bootfiles.

This is the setup:

C: winME (active)
D: winXP
E: ftp
F: ftp2
F: ftp3

Please can anyone help me with this?
Thanks
