Please help (topic on web server)
This is a discussion about Please help (topic on web server) in the Windows Networking category; I have been searching through the site (I think at least I searched) but couldn't find the answer for this problem: I have a win2k server and having several web applications running on it with different IP address allocated from my ISP provider.
I have been searching through the site (I think at least I searched) but couldn't find the answer for this problem:
I have a win2k server and having several web applications running on it with different IP address allocated from my ISP provider. they are all "real" IP isntead of fake internal one. I am using one network card configured to have several IP which are allocated from the ISP. My question is: How could I enable firewall in this case? The usual implementation for one IP case is to have a router between the modem and my computer, and setup port forwarding accrodingly. In my case, what can I do?
I was thinking to use windows' internal IPSec ...but I have heard that it is a very passive method...just to block the ports that I could think of...
any help or points would be appreaciated. thank you all!!
