This is a known problem. I have tried al sorts of things to get it going.

If you try to run it using Apcompat to fool DK2 into thinking it is running under Win9x, then you get an error about a debugger running, and you must unload before the game will run.

Bullfrog are meant to be working on a patch. The last patch (1.6) was meant to include bump mapping support for the G400, but they bodged it. The next patch (1.7) is meant to fix it, and hopefully introduce Win2k support.

This is so true, but how long have we been waiting for the 1.7 patch now?
I'm thinking they are too busy working on DK3.
The 1.7 patch looks like yet another promised yet never appears patch.

I think Bullfrog are probably working on DK3 which is why they haven't updated the DK2 website since Feb of this year.

I think we should boycott al future Bullfrog (and EA games) until they start releasing Windows 2000 patches!

Since I like windows 2000 so much (stability and task manager) I am in on this boycott.

Well, I really don't buy anything that doesn't support win2k

No, boycott means nothing... we have to bombard them with letters... i am thinking we should talk to the webmaster of ntcompatible about making some sort of automated process to bombard companies that refuse to support win2k with e-mails

Yup,
I'm up for that one.
Some kind of on-line partition.
Someobody sets out the wording of a latter of partition, everybody can electronically sign it, with e-mail address etc.
Then it could be sent to the company in question.

Hmm.... let's boycott Eidos while we're at it.
