Possible bug on Workgroup

This is a discussion about Possible bug on Workgroup in the Windows Networking category; I might have found a bug. After altering my workgroup name and rebooting winXP RC1, I found that the name had been reset to WORKGROUP. Nothing seems to be able to change this workgroup name into something that makes sense.

Has anyone encountered the same problems? How did you, if so, solved them?

I wonder if the same problem will occur with domains (perhaps I should install two domainservers just to test)

its the "patch" that resets the 14day activation. it resets any settings you have changed after u logoff as well... =(
u might wanna look for another version of RC1 activate patch
