I just upgraded win 2000 to XP pro and my cpu is still having the same problem.
I ran adaware and spybot to search 4 spyware. But i think it has a virus because when i click on my computer or try to open control panel the screen will blink and u can momentarily see the window but then it doesnt show anything??????
Anyone have any tips????????????? i dont have a virus program, should i attempt to remove the old Win2000 components??????????

Hi,
I would suggest that you get a antivirus program and update it, cause if you had a virus on 2000 and you just updated instead of format and re-instlalling you would still have virus.
I had that smae problem of a users PC at a company I worked at in South Africa, but it was a couple of years ago, I cant remember which virs it was.
