Preview Program

This is a discussion about Preview Program in the Windows Hardware category; Dear Group: I'm thinking of getting Windows XP on the Preview Program over here in the UK, as this machine isn't needed for any serious work at the moment and so it should be safe to do so. I do not know a lot about the differences between the various XP builds.

Dear Group:

I'm thinking of getting Windows XP on the Preview Program over here in the UK, as this machine isn't needed for any serious work at the moment and so it should be safe to do so. I do not know a lot about the differences between the various XP builds. Will the preview version of XP lack any of the features I probably take for granted in 2K? I mean things which aren't implemented yet. I was told the preview release would pretty much be the final product anyway, although of course I'll be ordering the full version as soon as I can.

The preview version will be useful for me to see if I need to upgrade at all - I would do this at the same time as getting the full retail version later this year.

I won't disclose my machine config, but I can tell you that it is a home system linked to one other PC.

Ta,
R

its not going to lack features. Especially with a RC build. It should be safe to use it on both PCs at home.

OP
Thanks for the information ThQ - I ordered already!

I can't wait to see it in action, having spent many weeks reading the posts on this board (most of which are positive!)
