Privacy protection for context-aware systems

Hi, You may have heard about technology that allows information to be customised depending on your location or even your activity. Systems providing such services are said to be context-aware. Needless to say such systems will have an impact on our day to day lives and the privacy we enjoy.

Hi,

You may have heard about technology that allows information to be customised depending on your location or even your activity. Systems providing such services are said to be context-aware. Needless to say such systems will have an impact on our day to day lives and the privacy we enjoy. I am therefore doing a study as part of my research on privacy protection for context-aware systems at the University of Kent.

As a frequent reader of ntcompatible I know many of you will be among the first to use context-aware systems when readily available and some of you may even have used the early technology that is available. In any case I would appreciate if you could spare a few minutes and take part in the study anonymously! It is done online and can be found at http://eppsurvey.osbakk.net together with more details.

For more information about my research please visit http://www.osbakk.net.

Thanks,

Patrik Osbakk
