C&C problem
This is a discussion about C&C problem in the Windows Games category; i recently bought C&C first decade. it installed fine with no problems. however when i go to play C&C or C&C red alert on the disc it goes blank and my screen flashes saying out of frequency. the game however is playing in the back.

Are you using an LCD monitor? If so then IIRC, C&C for Windows runs @ 640x480 resolution which your monitor may not support. Check your monitor documentation for an option for scaling older games to your native resolution.
no mine cant do 640x480 resolution.

Hmm, you could play the Windows versions under Microsoft Virtual PC, Vmware or Qemu.
You can play the DOS versions under DosBox just fine.
